CCTV used to 'spy' on pupils in schools
The surveillance equipment is in use in around 85 primary and secondary schools and colleges across the country.
Classwatch, the company behind the system, says it is being used as a way to monitor children who are disrupting lessons.
The firm said the equipment, which is sold with evidence bags approved by the Crown Prosecution Service to store material for court cases, can be used to compile "proof" of wrongdoing.
The system includes ceiling-mounted microphones and cameras and a hard drive recorder housed in a secure cabinet.

This has just gone overboard. We've got cameras near the lockers, and that's it. I don't see a need for them in classrooms, there's human eyes in there to watch. About thirty pairs I must add.
They were fucking everywhere at my school. In the halls, the classrooms, the cafeteria. The only place they weren't at was in the bathroom, and that's probably going to change soon.
this just represents the inability to place trust in the "authority figures" that plague the education system. and the fact that they watch what goes on in there and still haven't done anything to improve the schools really says something.
"It is a bit like a video at home. This is not Big Brother. The system is under the control of the teacher."
There's a difference. A home security video is made and held by a private citizen. The school videos are made and produced by the teacher, who is a government agent.
"The system can be turned on and turned off as they wish."
This is a GOOD thing? A teacher could quite literally get away with murder! Even if the ENTIRE CLASS testified against the teacher, if it's not on video, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
These cameras are everywhere in my school. Even in the bathroom. They even have them at all school entrances and exits.
They have them all over the goddamn place at my school. Even in the bathrooms, they got no fucking respect. But then again, what else is new?
Last Year My School Had About... 10 Cameras total And Shit Was Easy To Get Away With... Now They Have Like 50... Luckily None in The Shitters... And They Told Us Dont Do Any thing We Wouldn't Want To Be Seen Doing... Yet They Only Moniter The Lobbys 2 Cameras The Offices Camera And The Main Entrance Camera... So I Just Walk Down The halls With My Phone Out Texting Anyone i Can HAHA. God My Prinipal Patty Schwear Is Retarded.

Regarding anyone rejection of CCTV in schools,street's University, colleges, work, airports, etc.
i don't know why other !! keep rejecting this idea's are they very supportive for Torrence, crimes, Violence, exploitation.
what's the point you dont agree with that?!
i am not supporting the CCTV to be in toilets, but in toilets Entrances, corridors, rows etc. and with Audio as will ( Sound system ).
it's one of tow things that you dont agree ( you are criminal, using drugs, using childish ) and you dont want anyone to see you doing this things.
in the school you are not alone and everyone can see you and what you doing expect ( Parents, Teachers and respected peoples ) but what hipping behinds us is more then what you think.
so what's your point of rejecting that. or stooping parents to fallow their kids and be sure the study steady, save , and fallow homework, educations, well treatments, and with no valiant.
I wish i can go with my kids during the day and not working and be busy with this life to be sure my future family members are safe and well.
