On Thursday Help NYRA Win $50,000!!
Got this in my email a few minutes ago:
Dear Youth Rights Supporter,
This Thursday, the State of Wisconsin is voting on a bill that will make it more difficult for parents to teach their children how to drink responsibly. The best way to reduce abusive binge drinking is to get parents involved in teaching responsible, moderate drinking and that is soon to end in Wisconsin. In the last week NYRA has been speaking out against this bill in newspapers, radio stations, and on television stations across the state.
This year we are actively participating in America's Giving Challenge. The Challenge is funded by The Case Foundation and is run through the Facebook Causes Application, Parade Magazine and Network for Good. Donating to our Facebook cause while the Wisconsin Legislature debates enacting another ageist policy that will increase binge drinking rates and trample on the rights of youth and parents alike will send a strong message that government bans should not take the place of parental education.
This year's challenge is giving grants to organizations who best mobilize their supporters and garner the most unique donations. The cause with the most unique donations will win a $50,000 grant, the most donors on a single day wins $1,000. Ten $10 donations count ten times more than one $100 donation. Please support us by making a $10 donation today!
Here's how:
1. Between 3pm tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th and 3pm on Thursday, October 29th please go to http://www.youthrights.org/moneybomb and make a secure $10 donation.
2. Post your contribution to your Facebook wall to let your friends know that you support a lower drinking age!
3. Encourage your friends to make their own $10 donation. We're affecting the debate in Wisconsin and around the country. Our ability to continue to shift the paradigm of ageism in this country is limited only by our resources. So please support our efforts!
Thank you!
