US: Number Of Americans Eavesdropped On Could Be In The Millions
Former insider at the National Security Agency turned whistleblower, Russell Tice, has made the starling claim that the number of Americans the NSA eavesdropped on could total in the millions. Tice states that it is highly likley that if an American has placed a phone call oversees since the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, they are likley to have been eavesdropped on.
Furthermore, if an individual has used the word "jihad" in a telephone conversation it is likely those people who have had any kind of communication with that person have had their communications monitored as well. Tice further revealed that the NSA posesses technology which allows it to monitor all communications in the United States and with which it can identify key words within all conversations.
