Youth is not a test!

by .xstrike-anywherex.
School already sucks for most kids. Wouldn't it suck more if you were told every day that nothing you were doing mattered? That your social lives, your writing, your creativity, your games, were all just a fucking waste? That it was all going to be meaningless one day.

There's a lot of things that contribute to the problems of youth, but one of the worst things is the delusion that your youth is a test, a training period for the real world. What the fuck is this "real world"? A job, a relationship, "adult" problems?

10 years down the road, most of you will have steady jobs and an indepedent place to live. But believe me, this period of your life is not a test, it's not a training period! Youth is meaningful! It's not a race to grow up, it's not even just a time of learning. It's life! It's meaningful! Live your youth, and stop thinking that it's just meant to shape your future self. It's shaping your present self. You can be 40, 15, or 8, it doesn't matter, your life is equally meaningful.

You aren't in training for life, you're living life! So celebrate youth, and forget the fucking delusion that it's nothing more than preparation for the future. Youth is meaningful, your daily life is just as meaningful as an adult's.
