Never gonna be enough

by xaverri

It's never gonna be enough,
I do my best, they just laugh
They're always on my back
No matter what, I always lack
Perfection
They say I'm smart, they say I'm bright
Then I fail and they start a huge fight
Can't ever let it go if I get it wrong,
They want me perfect, want me just right
This is my life, I'll do what I like
Come the day that I've had it all
My bag'll go flying, out the door
And me out the window of the seventh floor.

This is a great poem, and I like the whole idea of it.

Very well written poem, nice job. I hate trying to live up to others' standards instead of just making my own. People get so irritating sometimes. As you say, "I'll do what I like."
