Allies
Ami's Anti-School Zone! - My one great mission in this life has been to help as many kids as possible find a legal, non-violent way out of public school.DefendYourSites - On this site, you will find guidelines for making your blog unpolicable and information on how to safely (without fear of school retaliation) protest any school rules that allow your school to punish you for what you post online.
Emotional Intelligence - This site is a place where I try to give people useful, important information. It contains information about emotional intelligence, some tools and resources, and some new ideas.
Misled Youth - A place for creative, ambitious, caring, or just plain pissed off young people to share ideas, find support, and collaborate with peers.

Anti-School Sites
[School Survival] Anti-School Directory
Anti-school, youth rights, homeschooling, unschooling sites and more. An anti-school version of Yahoo or the Open Directory.
Other sites by me (SoulRiser)
Destinity
Art from the soul. Digital art, sketches, photos, poetry.
Philosophical Quotes
My collection of text files and webpages I've saved to my computer. Lots of philosophy and psychology stuff.
Useful Online Stuff
Totally unrelated stuff that might be useful.BugMeNot.com
Bypass Compulsory Web Registration. Provides logins for sites that insist you register
before they let you read anything, like some newspaper sites are doing (nytimes.com).
spamgourmet
Get a disposable email address here that you can use for any site that asks for your email
address. You can even specify how many emails you will allow that site to send you before
it ignores the rest.
Mailinator
Similar to above, but you don't have to sign up, just make up ANY random email address
(anything@mailinator.com) and you can check its email. Emails sent to that account are
automatically deleted after a few hours.
Babelfish
Translation tool. Can translate pieces of text that you paste into a box, or a whole page
at a time. Supports a bunch of languages both ways (too lazy to list them here).
WhatTheFuck.com
Free web-based email provider. You'll get a very nice email address like
yourname@whatthefuck.com. Now isn't that cute? :)
Useful Webmaster Stuff
This is stuff I use for this site, or considered using.
ZoneEdit.com
Free DNS service that lets you manage your domain, set up subdomains, redirects, mail and
other stuff.
ZA.net
Free domains for South African citizens. No DNS included, which is why I listed ZoneEdit
above :)
dot.tk
Free domains for everyone. It's a redirect and will show a little ad-bar on top of your site though.
Award Sites
Lists sites that give awards to websites. You can then apply to see if they'll give you an
award.
NavBoard
PHP forum script that doesn't require MySQL or any other database - all data is stored in
files on your server. This is the only decent flat-file forum I could find.
selfpromotion.com
Submits your site to all the worthwhile search engines and indexes. Also contains pretty
much all the info you could ever want to know about how search engines work, and how to
optimize your site for them (so that people can find it).
PHP.net
From here you can download PHP to install it on a server or just on your own computer for
testing scripts. You can also get the manual from here.
eXTReMe Tracking
Get a counter for your site here. Tracks stuff like what country your visitors came from,
their screen resolution, what site they came from, and lots more. Also breaks down your
stats into visits per day/week/month/time of day, etc. This is the counter I've been using
on School Survival since 1999, no complaints.
CJB.NET
Subdomain redirection service. You'll get www.yourname.cjb.net to redirect to wherever
your site is, and email sent to whatever@yourname.cjb.net will be sent to you as well.
They now also have guestbooks, forums, DNS, and other stuff I haven't tried yet.
Yahoo Groups
Make your own mailing list. Has lots of options.
PHP ResourceIndex
Tons of free scripts available here. Has tutorials and incomplete scripts (classes and
functions) as well.
