US: School Board Bans Book About Vietnam
The book was a 1990 Pulitzer Prize finalist, but students will no longer find it on the shelves of the school library in Solon. The Solon School Board has voted to ban the Vietnam-themed book, "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien. Members said it is a good book but it's too mature for eighth-graders.
