Gaming cures attention deficit syndrome

BOFFINS have discovered that computer games could be the way to treat kids with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Clinical psychologist Henry Owens, has developed a video game system which adjusts its operation so that if kids don't concentrate, the game will stop.

He said this forces kids to develop concentration skills and train their own brains rather than needed lots of chemicals to help them.

According to New York's chief of developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Schneider Children's Hospital Dr. Andrew Adesman the idea is still a bit controversial.

But it is worth a try when the alternative is drugs.
