Bush Almost Blows Himself Up with Ford Hydrogen Hybrid - Now a Joke?!?

Via Huffington Post, the Detroit News is reporting that President Bush nearly blew up a Ford Hydrogen Plug-in Hybrid at a photo op by attempting to plug in a charging cord into the hydrogen tank. Ford CEO Alan Mulally earned a portion of his reported $39.1 million salary by preventing him from doing so.

Mulally told journalists at the New York auto show that he intervened to prevent President Bush from plugging an electrical cord into the hydrogen tank of Ford's hydrogen-electric plug-in hybrid at the White House last week.

I grabbed his arm and I moved him up to the front," Mulally said. "I wanted the president to make sure he plugged into the electricity, not into the hydrogen This is all off the record, right?"

Heh heh, sorry Alan (and President Bush), I guess not.
