Homework could be illegal!
Homework could be illegal!
The Schoolchildren's Rights Spokesman has just launched a battle against setting work to do aty home. A special report on the matter is being directed to the Civil Rights Ombudsman and Poland's Education Ministry. Schoolchildren's spokesman Krzysztof Olędzki says that the office has been inundated with complaints from parents, objecting that their children come home from school and almost immediately sit down to more study. The spokesman has concluded that homework is not legal, because school has no right to decide on what children do at home; moreover homework is a restriction of freedom and the right to rest, as provided by the Constitution of Childrens' Rights. Many children devote long hours, seven times a week, to study, says the spokesman, who has asked the Civil Rights Ombudsman to investigate and will be meeting Education Minister Katarzyna Hall to discuss the matter.

im sry i didnt do it right but yea and this is old too so u know from 07
I wish this would carry over to the US.
The idea of news should be that it is new. So, if you posted this in 2007, it would be better.
Also, I somehow don't think this got off the ground, although I wish it would have. It's something that needs to be realised, and I also would want to see my home country take a step in the right direction, we've been fucked over for too long.
yea i wish it did too bigest reason i posted it is i had to find an artical for school and found this and i didnt know it was old till after i posted it but the bigest thing is the parents started it
yup, the school shouldn't be in charge of what we do at home. however, you can get into big trouble for refusing to do homework several times :|
yeah home is the only time we can do what we want and not do work and all that shit
LOL! Homework is tiring and absolutely the sometimes school set out the most ridiculous
Homework takes up so much time of our life. School already takes up 8 hours, homework takes up the rest of the day. And when we get to weekends, we have MORE homework, because the teacher's twisted logic is: You have two free days, you can spend more doing homework.
oh yeah, i had enough of school. this kids are idiots and they are one of the main reasons i hate school. Also waking up at 6 to go somewhere i dont want to go, to do things i dont want to do, and see people i could not give 2 shits about. I fuckin had it. its stupid. School is prison. it truely is. plus on top of that, they have the nerve to give homework?!!! r u kidding?!! i go home to relax and not worry about this shit, not become more overloaded with crap. im counting down the days until i get out out prison. as long as im in school, i'll never truely be free. Freedom is going out at night, driving around, eating, drinking, having fun with no restrictions. Thats the key, HAVE FUN. dont be overwhelmed with school. School ruins everything. its bull shit. the teachers, students, and everyhting about school is full of shit. anyone who agrees give me a hell yea.
Knowing some things about the constitution of childrens rights, I stand firmly on that homework should be illegal. Just to start I had a tumor in my left nasal passage and a sinus infection on my left side of my brain. I had a homebound teacher come to my house and she wasn't qualified one bit. She didn't know any of the subject I was studing. Know I'm in a situation where I have so much homework that I might have to repeat my junior year. Thanks for listingl

Woah, that sounds absolutely horrible dude. I truly hope for you that some how, word of this spreads, and homework will be illegalized in the U.S. For you and many kids that suffer the same fate. Truly, homework has to be one of the devils creations that was created to punish sins, I really believe this. For I think that no way that a human could create such a horrible task. You should tell your parents, or some authority about your problem, hopefully you'll get somewhere. Best of luck fellow sufferer. Audios.
of coarse it's illegal. The unconstitutionalness of it is just ignored. If ou bring upthat it's not their decision what we do at home. They'll be complete assholes and state that they never forced you to do homework. That REALLY pisses me off.
hate to say it, but even i think this is pretty fucked up
I agree with Awesomeness,School takes up too much of our time, and then they deicide to give us homework to take up EVEN MORE time, I think it should just be banned altogether
HOMEWORK IS CHILD LABOUR AND IT SHOULD BE BURNED
