Mall Wants To ID Teenagers
WAUWATOSA, Wis. -- Young people can expect to get carded at a Wisconsin hot spot.
Not to buy a drink, but to go to the mall.
Mayfair Mall southwest of Milwaukee is a popular place with local teens. But if they want to hang out they'll have to show ID.
Mall officials are concerned that rowdy teenagers might be driving away paying customers.
Mall spokeswoman Nancy Conley said details of the ID policy are still being worked out. The mall has yet to set an age limit for unaccompanied teens.
But 16-year-old Olivia Obluck-Zager doesn't like the idea. She asked why she should have to show ID just to go shopping.
