Senators Call for Universal Internet Filtering
'An Anonymous Coward writes "US senators today made a bipartisan call for the universal implementation of filtering and monitoring technologies on the Internet in order to protect children. Their statement came at the end of a Senate hearing in which civil liberties groups were not invited."'

Slash who?
Oh, and uh...gay! More censoring, when most kids I know already found out about sex and porn and stuff. That's not the only stuff, but it's really unnecessary.
We'll just have to resort to what the Chinese nerds do I guess... like at: http://www.peacefire.org . That place, awesome. I'm fully prepared if my parent's want to block my pc, or if the govt wants to.
Silly people. Even if they did do that, someone is bound to crack it. Someone always does.
Damn, where's Bennett Haselton when you need him?
The problem is, the Gov-o-mint ain't going to install filters on every computer, and they ain't gonna be able to make all parents do it.
Come on, it's perfectly reasonable for the government to protect kids from the world.
By sending them to school, no doubt.
Word.
what happened to the good old fashioned internet without filters?
