UnAmerican Music!
I came across this album called "The UnAmerican LP", by Emcee Lynx, a few days ago. He has the entire album up for download on his website, so I started downloading the songs and figured, why not, free music :)
I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, I've downloaded songs from other artists that have their music available and I didn't find much I like, but this guy is special. Every song has a different message. And as a cool bonus, the music rocks too :)
They're all different. "A bullet in the chamber" is an angry song, kinda reminds me a bit of RATM. "Avalon" is highly emotional, sad, hopeful... that song made me cry the first few times I listened to it. It's about how anarchists dream of a better world, and how we hope someday to see things change for the better.
I'm gonna post some of the lyrics up in the site's lyrics section, since they fit really well with the "theme" in there.
I'm not gonna ramble on any more, just go there and download some music! And if you like it, help him out and buy his CD - it's not like he's famous or anything ;)

I didn't even notice at first, but he has songs from his older albums up for download too, I'm still busy getting them all, so I can't talk about them yet :)

I just downloaded this album also. I hate most of the lyrics of wanton materialism and mysogynistic overtones of most hip hop music these days. I also think that it is important for people of color to look clearly at the messages and values that they spew on prime time MTV. Propaganda pawns all, they need to take some lessons from this guy.
All I have to say his message and music are both very beatifull. Thank you Emcee Lynx! Peace!
hey, just noticed his new album (living in the shadow) is up on his website... http://emceelynx.circlealpha.c...

yep, still busy downloading it :D
