US: PATRIOT Act Extended By One Month
The extension comes following a shocking reversal by the Republican controlled House of Representatives which saw several Republican lawmakers join with Democrats in voting to reject a longer extension of the act citing privacy concerns. The House voted to extend the act by one month as opposed to the six months the Senate had voted to extend it by.
