This is a support site for students who can't stand being forced to go to school. We are not telling you to drop out, rebel or do anything in particular. What you do is your decision and yours alone, we can just provide support and information for whatever choice you may make. What works for one person won't necessarily work for everyone. The point is: the choice is yours to make. And if, for whatever reason, other people refuse to let you make that choice, you will always find someone here willing to listen to you.
14 Good Reasons why School Sucks & Things I Hate About School:
- School sucks because if you don't like it, most people automatically think there's something serious wrong with you.
- School ruins learning. In school, learning is all about memorizing things, answering questions, and writing loads of crap on topics you don't care about.
- Because you're forced to go there, and if you want to try some other alternative, you need to get parental permission first. School is essentially pointless forced labour without pay.
- It sucks because people expect you to treat school as the most important thing in your life. Nevermind what you'd rather be doing.
- School sucks because once you're done, you'll probably forget 90% of what you "learned" there and burn all your books anyway. All you'll be left with is a diploma stating that you survived 12 years of hell. And very few people (besides your parents) will even want to look at it.
- Because talking to your friends is a crime at school.
- It sucks because even if you're bored out of your mind, you'll still get all the blame for not participating in class.
- School suppresses independent thought - if you disagree with the teacher, you're in trouble. If you dare to think of a new way to do something, it's automatically wrong.
- School sucks because if you do what they say and do all your work, you don't get time off - they'll just expect even more from you in future. And someone who cheats on their work and tests can just as easily do better than you.
- School sucks because life is short, and you'll never get that time back.
- School makes everyone around you panic over the smallest little things that none of them (or anyone else) will care about a few years down the line.
- Even when you go home, school invades your life by giving you homework as well.
- It sucks because even though school has all these problems, if you mention any of them, you'll be the one they blame, no matter how right you may actually be.
- School sucks because every now and then it does something useful for someone, and then everyone goes all "Look! That's proof that school is good for you!"... It's like getting free ice cream in hell - it just doesn't quite make up for all the other stuff.

School will probably be gone when we are all old and have been fucked up so much by school that we don`t give a fuck that school is gone, and if your grand kids have gone to school then they will be fucked up for the rest of their lives, like us. Wow.The amount of simply retarded people on this site is truly incredible. Retards talking about killing kids and blowing up schools. I seriously hope this is just a pathetic group of ten year old dipshits or else you guys have problems. School's primary purpose is to educate and teach. While it's all very good to say "Why do I need to learn (insert random subject topic here) because I dont need it to get a job etc." it's a completely ridiculous statement. Schools teach a range of subjects to give everyone a broad overview of many subjects. Obviously not everyone is going to love every subject, so some will favour certain subjects over other and vice versa. When (and if) you go onto higher education, that is when you get the opportunities to narrow down your education by choosing subjects to take and get a better start in terms of getting a job. Untill that time however, deal with it. there's no other easy way to say it. School is compulsory so that the youth of today don't turn out saying the shit I've found on this site "kill teachers etc.". Fucking open your eyes. Everyone has to go to school, and the sooner you understand that the sooner you can realise that working hard has it's benefits- if that means once you leave school.

i just hate school. I would do anything to just stay at home. Especcially when we have breaks, when there is ike only two days left i just feel sad because i have to go again to the place i hate the most. I just cant stand ir. But when im by my friends, i just feel like im haveing the best day of my life. I understand what will happen if I drop out. BUt thats why im always pushing myself to go and get the grades I need to have. But to me its just too much work. Especially wakeing up in the morning. Thats not the hardest thing to do but after a few weeks of break just thinking about makes me want to sleep ass much as i can before i get up. Im also sad aboutif certain people are there it would ruin my whole day. Sometimes i would even get jumped. And im not even in highschool yet. I just wish school could be a little more soft on us. I learn more by watching the TV or going on my laptop than going to school. My math teacher taught the wrong thing to our class for 4 months! and English don't get me started complete joke of a lesson EVERYONE HATES IT! reading poems and underlining and circling different words!? what the heck am I or anyone else in the class going to do in our lives with that skill!? In my English class it is like WTH are you going to learn by reading Communist books that glorify school, because there are stories about children that escape from China during World War 2, and they`re so happy because they actually get to go to school, which is hell. Being homeschooled is better than public school because you can spend time with your parents(which might be a bad thing)and your mind won`t be brainwashed. God, I agree with you guys more than I ever have with my teachers. See, I'm ADD and because of that people have this impression that I'm dumb. Because classes(which make the point of teaching me crap I already know and then quizzing me on it) are so obssesed with work they don't even care whether or not the kid has any idea what it is they "learned". And I'm a hard core freakin' acedemic! In the last year I've written three novels, took a college sociology course, read 90% of Shakespeares plays, started learning Latin and done math two grades ahead of me. All this is completely out of the school system and I've learnt more doing it than I ever have in school. Do you want to know how many lame ass work sheets I used? None! I didn't need to 'cause I understood it and learnt it the way I needed to. At school I just sit in class and stare at the teacher. When they bring out tests I'm never even aware we'd finished the unit. I'm in ninth grade and I can recite the equation for tork, but I have no freakin' idea how eletrical cells work! I've failed half my science tests and yet I know more than most highschool graduates. Then the overachievers who have ninty five percent on their report cards couldn't tell me a thing about any of it a few weeks after the test. What do teachers even think they're doing? If I weren't in school I would still learn all this bullshit I'd never need to know--I'd just do it without all those goddamn notes and stupid comments from teachers on my cursive.
At the same time as I hate school so much I love to learn. So, in some way I kinda get why it's there. If you're never going to learn anything without it, I mean, come on, are you going to learn it by yourself? then you need someone to teach you.
If the world were a more logical place kids would get to pick their careers and then learn the stuff they need for them before going into highschool. Who needs to know chemistry if they're going to be a psychologist? And why would you learn psych if you're gonna do chemistry? There's way too much useless work in the school system and not enough progess.
Plus, why do you have to get up at seven? I'm an insomniac! I need my sleep! And why do I get in trouble for reading Mark Twain in English class? You're just reading a Shakespeare play I've already read. No, I won't gain something new. It's not that hard! Ah! Stupid English teacher. Why do I think I already know how to congugate Frech verbs? Do you really want to know? Because I've been doing it since I was tiny, and I can do Latin just fine. Oh, why aren't I paying attention in math class? I wonder if it might be because I've already completed this entire grade. And why is my test blank? Are you kidding me? Did I not tell you I don't have the attention span to take notes? Is that not in my file? Did the principal not tell you that? Hate social studies!
Then the kids. Yes, I know we're all kids and it's probably annoying hearing this. But why do you all think I'm stupid? Why does it surprise you when I show up at a math contest? I hate school because of the people in it, and every little thing about it. The people there are just bullshit. I only have one friend and she's okay. But, aside from her, people are bullshit. The teachers, principal, supervisors, etc. They expect us to ace in everything we do in SCHOOL. Only SCHOOL. Not anything else that we LOVE to do. In the same way, they expect us to be ENGINEERS or some math/physics related jobs. It's fucking crazy man. I love music, and I am a musician I am not going to be what the school tells me to be. I'd rather be something else. My parents leaves my decision up to me which is a pretty good thing because my future is in the palm of my hands. My school LOVES to put people into trouble. They put too much stupid rules. E.g if you put your hair up a bit, they'll suspend you for one day. Oh! And this one, if you wear colored shoes, they'll call your parents and tell them to bring black/grey/brown shoes. It's pretty fucking stupid actually! And the people, eg. my classmates. They're all so serious about shit! And they mess with me all the time and they do annoying stuffs! I'm skipping school days nowadays cause of this! I'm gonna move out of this school and place. I hope though.
Oh. Another thing. my school doesnt HAVE a fucking damn cafeteria. AND, they all waste their budget to some BATH UK SCHOOL shit. They keep our school doors with full of prefects (students that are devoted into helping the school) and they won't let you inside the school. So you stay outside in the football field with the temperature of 40°C. This is a middle-eastern country and it's almost summer so of course its HOT! It's like we're in fire! And they wont fucking let us inside and have a damn cool fresh air. If I could only burn my school, I would. But I'm not that bad like they are to me.
You guys should hate school. Trust me, I know how it feels to not have enough time to make so many friends, get popular, or even get a boyfriend/girlfriend! I'm almost always forced to fucking slave off all day in that brick building people call school! Well, except for my gym and American Sign Language class. I would like it a lot more if they give me more time to do sports, meet a thousand friends, get really popular within a week, and also give me more time to find a Mr. or Mrs. Right! And also give me more time to hang out with my favorite people in the world!
In my final conclusion, my own school won't let my hair grow long to my thighs and they won't let me wear flirty clothes! But, I'm not always a girly girl, I'm also a flirty tomboy.
I'm a grade twelve student in Brisbane, Australia. I am currently getting C's and D's at school no matter how hard I try to study. I know that I don't have a say in any political debate as "Children shall be seen and not heard" my school is full of propaganda lies and all the rest of it. I have been one of the lowest students in every class since a started school and I don't know if I have a learning disorder or teachers are too worried about helping the smarter kids, because it is easier.
We have this OP system at school and everyone who gets an OP can go to university, but that is a 'lie.' I am an OP20 which bad (OP1 being the best) and no universities will offer me a scholarship. These past two years seem like a waste as I could have started an apprenticeship in grade ten if I knew my governments system was false. Now to get into university I may have to sit in a dead-end job until I'm twenty-one and pay off a hex debt until I'm thirty. All this because my teachers from when I was a young age never explained anything and my math teacher still doesn't, always short-cutting things and not explaining it. Not only this but she makes you feel like a right idiot if you ask what she did.
Most teachers don't allow you use the bathroom or to get a drink, I mean Australia has one of the hottest climates in the world and we can't have a drink. Meanwhile in the next class your physical education teacher is telling you to drink lots of water. What a load of contradiction and than they hire people who can barely speak English, how can anyone learn if we can't understand a single word they're saying?
Surely if someone is consistently low in school a teacher would figure it out and help them, but it is too late for me. And than we have a teachers union who have the freedom to ask for higher wages whilst taking a day-off from our education to do so. I wouldn't say I hate school because I have learned some things, even if I haven't noticed it. I just wish the governments would get their priorities right and help the future generations.
Though all these are the downsides to school I have a genuine young teacher who gets my generation, she is the reason I am actually passing anything with an English side it.
I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I think just sticking in out is a good way to start if you are lost like me. But remember there is always something you can do, it isn't just Maccas, or any other take-away food services, you can always join the defense force, which will ultimately help you out in whatever you want to do next. Good luck with the rest of your lives and always look to the brighter side of things.

Having my own personal experiences and views of the school system within a whole. I personal have myriad disputes with the school. The school system used to label me as being mentally retarded and disabled. All the doctors that my mother inquired to said that I would never be a functioning member of society. I was given an IQ test at the age of 10 and received a score of 160. Ever since I was placed in regular classes, and now I am currently in all Adv. and AP classes, I have proven the system wrong. This strict, rigid system should never make you decisions and hold your own opinions down. The education system want our students to be a generation of followers, who will do as told. hey want us to be happy with our mundane life, spending the paycheck at Wal-Mart. Another issue with the education system is that educators believe that they have authority to a variety of different situations, such as acting like they know the child well enough to make judgments about their real intelligence and home life, to taking part in the mental health of the child. My point is that we must get everyone to act as a whole to offer a new perspective to educators so they finally realize how useless school really is, and well start a revolution to a better education system. That the future generations can benefit from. Everything since the industrial revolution and around the world has changed and developed, except school. This system still functions on the same fundamental principle from a hundred years ago. The greatest thinkers and scientist were late bloomers, and hated school for its lack of reliability and originality, its time for change, and where responsible for that change, even if we must question the higher authority.

i just got out of juvie i been home for 4 months now it all started because i did not want go to school (And i had other charges) but my first charge was truancy i missed 150 days of school but i was going to school like every other week then school started again and i missed 70 days of then when i went to court i got locked up for 6 months -.- then the judge finely released me to go home with my mom and now the summer is over i have to go to school and its a new school and now people are telling me saying if i dont go to school im getting locked up again but to be real with you i can give a less fuck i think there is people that should go to school and then there people that school is just not right for them feel me? FUCK SCHOOL I JUST WANT TO DROP OUT!!

As a current Senior in HS right now, I'm taking AP Statistics, which is suppose to be the easiest class ever. but NOO!!!! everything I get are a bunch of fucking memorization and bs graphing and long boring explanations. Worst of all, we have projects, HW, and tests everyday (even though our teacher says he's tried his best on not to give us any)!!!!!! I just had a fucking 3-part long midterms and i bombed the first 2. the third one is to take home and COMPLETE OVER THE WEEKEND!!!! and then WE ALL HAVE TO TURN IT IN BY 8AM IN THE MORNING (7AM FOR FULL CREDIT+BONUS)!!!! WTFFF!!!!!!!!??????????? HOW IS THIS EVEN FAIR??? i have too much other hw, i already flunked all my classes, dropped a Java class, and my life just gets even worse. FUCK SCHOOL. IM FORCED TO GO THERE EVERYDAY. I HAVENT A SINGLE LEGIT TIME TO PLAY MY GAMES BECAUSE OF BULLSHIT SCHOOL.

(Senior) Euro Lit: write a frikken huge essay, analysis, and dialogue about Hamlet Act 2. If you're done, proceed to Act 3 with the exact same process.
Essay is due on Tuesday.

Chinese School (im asian): finish 20-pg practice packet on Chinese cultures by next Saturday.
In this three day weekend, i still have no time to relax because of this. God, kill me already. FUCK SCHOOL.

Their are 2weeks till christmas vacation, after Christmas i might try to get a GED, but if I don't I will end my life, mainly just because i don't want to wait till I'm 18 to drop out. I'm 17 btw. I hate school so damn much I can't sleep at night. I will literally kill myself just to get the hell out of school. I've never been good at school, ever. I go, daydream / put my head down all day and come home and go on about my own business. Sometimes just thinking about going to school makes me physically I'll. I can actually remember several times in the past going to bed on on a Friday night and having a nightmare about it being a school morning. I've read a lot of comments and most say that the only reason they like school is because of friends. My "stereotype" is loner. I go and daydream, put my head down, stuff life that. But what fascinates me is people don't mess with me, I never had a problem with being bullied. It's like I'm invisible to people. School is absolute shit. It's all about goddamn brainwash and conforming into society. You go there and learn things that you don't need for the future unless you hold a specific job. For example, why the fuck would anyone need 4 years of Literature/English/whatever-the-fuck-they-call-it-at-your-school in order to graduate? Unless you become a journalist, reporter, classic literature author, etc., then you don't need it.
The other ridiculous part is the rules. Sure, rules are made so people can have a safe, working environment established, but most schools just fucking went too far. My school, for example, just got a new principal, and he established a crapload of ridiculous stupid rules that made the majority of our lives miserable. One in concern is the new Tardy Policy. We are forced to show up goddamn 15 minutes minimum earlier than the first period of the day warning bell. And he said that being tardy means you miss out a lot of important learning opportunities. God, I am pissed.

Back when I was in 6th grade, my grades were shit. I had my mind in the social aspect of my life, trying to put it up since I was bullied and had few friends in elementary school. Nevertheless, my mom told me to start studying, or I would be sent to a third-rate school. I was scared. I started studying. A lot. However, I still tried to make friends. In 7th grade, things were still hard but I still tried to push through. Then, in 8th grade, my life was perfect. Imperfect, but nevertheless, perfect for me. I had close friends, excellent grades, had good physical prowess...I was happy.
Then I moved here. Caracas, Venezuela. I despise it. Loath it. Not because of its current state (although it's extremely shitty) but because it's where everything started to fall apart. I studied harder than ever. At first I didn't realize it. Then, I slowly started to realize what was happening to me. It was no use. A voice in my head constantly told me work or else I'd slap, punch, insult myself, threatening to bring me lower than I already was. I obeyed. Despite everything else. Despite the fact that my former body was wrapping itself in fat due to lack of exercise. Despite my "friends" who shunned me, told me to get a life, talked behind my back about my workaholic attitude and more. Despite my family who was splitting farther away from me, who had to pass through terrible times because of me, who I was loathing more than ever.
I lost almost everything. My former/potential friends, my physical condition, my studies. Yes, my studies. In 10th grade I stopped studying, or at least seriously. One day I was working (I think) on an english assignment and then I stopped. Why did I work? It hurt so much. I lost most things because of it. Because of me. Then I told my teacher, Mr. X, about my lack of homework the next day. He asked me why I didn't do homework. I was about to cry. He didn't ask anymore. Then, it became a habit. To not do homework and lie about it. Lying can really change people's reality. And now, now that I think about it, as I have several times before, I realize this. I changed so much during these years. From happy, to a depressed workaholic, to a an apathetic perfectionist. In those last two stages of my life, I still have some things in common. Like not having an aim in life. And then I think, maybe I could try push over these problems once again. Another voice tells me "fuck it. Fuck you. Fuck everything." I just hope everything turns out OK in the end.
I'm 100% percent positive that if you place books in front of me to study by myself without a teacher I could do it. I don't need a teacher criticizing and putting me down or giving me bad grades when I do something wrong in class. Teachers need to give students an opportunity to learn from mistakes they made in their memorization and let us fix that bad grade. I mean teachers are always saying they don't want us to fail but are still putting in 10's and 20's when every student has failed that assignment. Then there's the "smart" group of kids who are separated from the rest of the school because they're too smart to be in classes with AP and honors. They need "special" classes because they're "top" of the school. The educational system is putting down other persons' self- esteem at all. We stay in school since Kindergarten some even pre- k and we're forced to stay in school until we're 18 (adults). That is old enough for us to be out living on our own and getting a good job. I know some people at my school who recently dropped out because they were hired from GNC as managers. Thats a better job than any teacher or employer at my school could get. Why are we forced to stay in school for so long when we have the right amount of knowledge to get a high paying job and then learning more information from that job to just keep going up from that? SO does not make sense to me. And whats up with all these standardized tests that we have to take in high school? like why does that have to determine our rankings? I think IQ test is good enough. Thats common sense stuff that we HAVE and SHOULD know other than all that other BS that is on the SAT and tests such as that one. What happened to all the classes that taught us how to do taxes, finance and keep track of money and how to cook and others like that?! They were taken out of the educational system you say? oh yea, because it isn't stuff that we need to know in life right? I guess the quadratic formula, food webs, and history is all I need to know to get by in life right? I agree, i do need some things I learn but to be honest do I need all that other pointless stuff that we learn and will never remember when we graduate? And history... I could care less. The past is the past and it will always stay that way. I don't care who was the president, I don't care about the wars because it was the past. How about we focus on the modern stuff and things that go on today? School is sucking the life out of kids. 8 hours of school and we still come home with 5 hours of homework? WTF. I'm not unappreciative of the education I have received, i'm very grateful but america's educational system can do a lot better than they are doing now.
I am a dancer/musician who is 13 years old and in 8th grade. I go to a prep school which is highly competitive and just plain fucking annoying. I legit fucking hate academics so much it hurts. I'll admit I'm pretty lazy when it comes to studying because I honestly don't give a crap about the classes we cover. I would much rather spend all of my time doing things that I love, and spend time with crowds that I fit in with(dancers and musicians.) I honestly don't feel like I belong at school, and I don't get really good grades. I'm not flunking anything or failing any classes but I usually get around 70-90 percent grades. Very rarely do I get A's as a final grade on my report card, mostly B's and the occasional C. My parents force me to study so much that I've grown to fucking dread doing anything to do with school. My parents are "Worried" that I'm not going to get a job when I'm older and how my future could be ruined because of my sluggish work habits. But that's just who I am. I'm a performer, I like to think. Not a scholar. Another thing that I hate, and that makes me feel so bad about myself is when my parents compare me to my friends who do really well in school. It makes me feel like crap. Complete shit. I hope in the future I'm going to get an occupation that has to do with the activities that I love so much. I really want to tell everyone "I told you so."

I hate school. School sucks ass. Teachers not motivated, makes classes boring as fuck. Its like they want us to fail. Talk in 0,7 words per hour so they make us all sleep. Replacing ventilation and spraying sleepgas in the class so we get tired in seconds at the beginning of the class. I bust my ass on weekends and in class and i still do bad. I have friends who dont try half as much as i do and they still beat me with miles. All they do, is wear fancy clothes talk about how awesome their nightlife to the teacher and the teacher sees them as someone to give a good education to. So they could start studying at a great university. They treat girls better then guys too. I have this one teacher that we counted, in a month he gave 3 same guys 2 compliments in one month. To the girls, he gave EVERY SINGLE ONE atleast 5 compliments each. They give better grades to them because they are worried that they will at start not do well in school, lose all motivation and become a stripper or someone who becomes someone that only makes our society look worse. Final, i hate school. Teachers needs to open their eyes.

I agree with you 100% why I hate school the most is because no matter if you give 50% effort...you get in trouble and if you give 100% effort... YOU STILL GET IN TROUBLE!!! It's like you can't win. How are people gunna get good grades if, even at their best, there "not good enough"? You ever thought about that school? I try my best every day to finish homework and study. But we're all gunna end up offering 90% of what we learn, and some of it is just bs. For example, in science class were learning about rocks. Unless someone in my class is gunna grow up and become a rock scientist, it's a complete waist of time!!! Why not study more realistic job ideas that are from the 2000's? The whole point of school is to get us ready for life. But they seem to be doing a pretty sucky job of showing it. Also the teachers are just...I don't even know how to explain what they are. It's like they're the smartest person on earth, except when it comes to common sense. I honostly don't know how I'm gunna make it through high school and god for bid collage. No matter how much you try and study, you always end up failing. And school ruins your first 23 years of your life, which in my opinion ate the best. When your dead, your gunna really wish you did more with that time then sit 7 hours in a place you hate. they also make you get up at like 6 and 5 am. It was scientifically proven that kids can't learn until its 10 am!!! They also send you homework to turn home into hell. When you do, teachers don't even think about how much work you HAVE accomplished they just think about that small small price you HAVENt accomplished and suddenly they hate you more than anything. Honestly I hate to be negative and whining but school really sucks. This so called "learning" and "education" is a piece of joke. What learning is there than just memorising a bunch of facts you don't care about for an exam, and forgetting all of it afterwards. Why would someone need those information in the real world? Is this really what society call learning? Also it's so shallow how someone judge you for your exam grade when no intelligence or creative thinking is involed in an exam. It's pure memorising.
Everything is limited in school you litrially get no option there. It's bascially prison. You are always told what to do. Your opinoin doesn't matter there. You are to wake up so fucking early and see everyone's face you fucking hate. I can't believe this system is forced on kids that are bright and clever it's turning kids into robots (slaves) for this system.
And the teachers are just losers. Any intelligent person with a common sense would not pick their job as a teacher, like it's a dead end job with an enviorment filled with children hating to be there. So, I hate school. Basically, my handwriting is crap so I got a computer from the school(What I'm writing this on :D), so I was happy as hell when I got it. Then, they disabled the wifi on it because they think I'm playing games, even though most of the time it's closed and when it is open, it's on Google Docs taking notes. So I can't take notes now, except at home. See the problem? So I brought a LAN cable to school but the teachers are all like "Go the fuck back to your seat" even though I tell them I'm taking notes. They don't even let me try to open a text document to try to save my notes to the desktop. I get beat up a lot for being a "Special Needs" student, even though I don't fucking have special needs! Then there are the annoying ass TA's that do nothing but gossip. I get constantly bullied and even tried to suicide once by swallowing bleach, but it didn't work. Now on Facebook, everyone's just like, "Shoulda tried a better brand" and I tell them to shut the fuck up, and the teachers see this, and they do nothing. Seriously, do they give a fuck about the fact that one of their students is suicidal? I tried to push these guys who were literally on top of me and trying to rape me, and the teacher said that I "Went crazy, punching these poor boys who did nothing to her", and I get in trouble. What the actual fuck?! Basically, school is destroying me and my life.

I believe we should learn grammar and stuff, but who needs to know "A+B", know one gives two shits about that. People should be able to apprentice after they graduated at a certain level so they are good in the one career field they decided to take up, and not have to know calculus and a bunch of other shit. Ask Warren Buffet,the richest American alive, Bill Gates, Donald Trump (make America great again by eliminating schools) I gaur enter they didn't retain as much as 10% of what they learned in grammar/middle/high school and they made it much further then any of us. So in other words fuck the system.
The people at the schools aren't horrible, but the idea that you have to learn completely pointless stuff is, if you ever want to learn anything in life, wait until your out of colleges when you have to do years of job training after 16 years of "education", that was supposed to get you ready for that job. College costs $1000s a year and after you get out you have massive ass debt and probably can't get a job anyway because all these trained dogs will get the jobs and work 16 hour-day meaningless lives. At school nobody ever asks when they will ever need this, and I have done it before. I guarantee you the teacher cannot think of an answer different then "I have to know this to teach this to you" because 97% aren't going to be teachers, and the majority matters, and besides who wants to be a teacher or strives to be a teacher. Ironically it's usually the less educated people who didn't go to the good colleges.
Most of the "achievers",at your school as I said earlier are liked trained racing dogs they just win even if it is completely obvious that whatever there learning doesn't apply to the vast majority of the challenges you face in the "real world", life outside the brick prison that people call helpful. Because at the end of the day they are stuck with their IQ of 100 and and sitting at a crappy desk with their boss shoving a mouthful of work down there throats that they didn't learn anything about in school. They are like "huh", and wasted the past 16 years and $75,000.

I hate school! I've decided what I want to do when I don't have to go there anymore and school doesn't teach me it! I have to go through years of crap when I don't need it! Plus, if we have calculators why do we need to learn maths? We only need to learn how to use a calculator!
The education system needs to be seriously looked at and how it is damaging society. As humans we need to be educated (it's just a fact of life) but the way in which school is run does not educate but rather breed hatred, rebellion, tunnel vision and does not prepare children for the real world in any shape or form. Not only is the way in which we are taught completely restricting on our own personal freedom (which everyone including children should have the human right to be free) but what we are taught is a bunch of completely irrelevant information that has no use in our lives. Why don't we learn how to handle finances, how to run a business, how to live healthily, how to be a good citizen, how to be compassionate, how to work a solid job, how to respect everyone no matter what colour, gender, sexual orientation, religion or occupation a person is? Learning about algebra, reading books and writing essays on them, memorising key elements and all that bollix does not prepare you for the real world in anyway. School took away many years of my childhood which could have been spent on what I wanted. Almost all family arguments are caused by school related issues. I would get into fights with my parents for not getting good grades or doing my homework. I would constantly get badgered by them asking why I wasn't putting in and my response was simple "Why should I be putting effort into something I never chose to do nor did I want to do in the first place. I didn't chose to be at school, I was forced to be there. Completely forgetting the point of life where we should be able to live life the way we want to. Just because I'm a kid does not give anyone the right to dictate my every day. You send me to school then this is what you get and you ain't getting anything else from me. I won't put in anymore than what I already am because I don't give a fuck about this shit". I am now 21 years old and on my way to being a professional dancer. If I hadn't have left school in year 11 and gone off to pursue my passion, I would be stuck in a life I never wanted, either jobless and on the street or in a low income fast food restaurant wondering what my life would have been like if I hadn't been forced to go somewhere I never wanted to go.

SCHOOL SUXXXXX, teachers are way too boring, I cant keep a class without sleeping. Theres a teacher that send us homework every damn day, Im not AGAINST school, but Im totally AGAINST homework. Like Rly?? Chores are not enough?

y'all took the words right out of my mouth, everything about school is just complete bullshit, all they're doing is brainwashing us and trying to turn us into robot zombies following the bloody system. I'm not even an American, here in Australia the school system is very alike to America's, in fact i feel like its more strict (that kind of depends on what school you go to though). School destroys who we are personally and tries to shape us into someone we're not! Its so annoying how teachers don't care about how we feel and all they care about is themselves and us doing our stupid pointless work. Its also so bloody stupid how we have no say in any of this crap, like if we even try to give our opinion on something, we get into trouble for it and end up having to waste more time on even more bullshit (such as detention or more homework). why?? just because you're the teacher doesn't mean your always right!! ALSO, a very very annoying thing which i just have to mention is when you ask to use the restroom and they don't allow you, like, needing to take a shit is something very natural how is that so hard for teachers to understand, i don't need to have some supernatural frikking crazy ass reason to need to go, and you can't tell me to hold it in or wait till recess/lunch, if i need to go then i need to go now, its not like i have any control over it! sometimes i feel like taking a shit on the teachers f***ing desk because they deserve it and i mean, it represents who they are. You know my school once f***ing locked all the toilets while we had classes and only opened then during recess and lunch, like that is the biggest bullshit ever seriously what if some poor kid had an emergency! i could literally rant about this all day but it'll probably make me end up smashing my laptop or something so yeah. its good to know that no one is alone and I'm not the only one who despises school and would do literally ANYTHING to get out of it. :')

School is a death trap for people, like me, have no friends because nobody agrees with your exalted ideas and actually already know the stuff that they're teaching you because you're a quick learner and crap like that. I mean, it's so pointless all the time that one wonders whether having a job will be the exact kind of hell they put us though as children and teenagers. Although education is good thing, they execute it very poorly. The way they teach us is so innefective and forgettable.
It should be that you are given a choice right away what job you want and what subjects would suit you the most and can change as you change your ideals in this cold forbidding world. And they don't even pay attention to you, I'm writing this in school now for christ's sake! In other words, yes I agree, school is pointless and the moment you say school shouldn't exist everyone's against for like, an hour. SCHOOL=BS
This website just read my mind. If I ever start to like school, I come to this website to remember how much school sucks. If the motherfucker who created school was alive today, I would completely torture him and make him take back his idea.
The Finnish need to come over and teach the U.S education system a lesson! I think school is boring not because it's the teachers, (it can be though) but the general way of education is poor! We are practically being mouth fed info when it would be better to learn about subjects that we like to prepare us for the real world! I have looked at the Finnish education system and their system is based on interest, not subjects! The U.S 's general concept of education hasn't really changed since the Industrial Revolution. Also my school is a very privileged school (Public) but even I feel drained of my creativity. We need a education system based on interest!
Everyone hates school, partially including me. I only like the social part of school.
Honestly, I really don't like school, and all I like about really it is mainly the social stuff.
And middle school and above gets ZERO recess, which I think is absolutely stupid! And recess gets replaced with "P.E". Which mean you get little to no time outside compared to elementary school.

Well i hate school its just a load of work that will never help in later life. Infact yesterday i had to stay up to 11 to finish math and then wake up at 4 to finish science its just too stressful. I wish the stupid teacher would stop thinking i know everything and gets me in trouble for making one tiny mistake the teacher is so rude. he wont let me have my own opinion on stuff doesnt let me be me. im being forced to being someone im not, now ive been so brainwashed by school i dont even know my true personality. the only reason i even go to school is my crush rowan is there he is the only one who gets me i am so thankful for him. when rowan leaves for grade9 and im stuck in grade8 im not sure what ill do help me school is ruining my life. my so called friends are just bitches i hate them for not leaving me alone by myself. aand of corse im getting bullied all because of stupid school!!! i just want me and rowan to runa way from the frickin schools and just live my life how i want not how some dumb adults want my life to be!!!!!!!!!!!! school quit giving me a depression and stress problems
I thought I was the only 1 that hated public school. LAUSD is the worst system in the world. I got 100 detention hours for chewing gum, that shit held me back for a minute. That was just the beginning. Fuck public school.The knowledge can be found outside of those covert mini prisons.
